What really are Image Ads?
Image Ads are different to text adverts in the sense that they are images. Image Ads are usually animated, which is good, as they help draw attention to your advert.
Online image advert comes in many different sizes, but the standard set of eight are (all width x height in pixels): 200x200, 250x250, 300x250, 336x280, 468x60, 728x90, 120x600 and 160x600.
Where can we put Image Ads?
There are many placements for image ads. The easiest, by far, is using the Google Adwords network.
You are limited to the size of the file you submit, with Google Adwords putting their limit at 50kb. So by no means a motion picture, but enough to get your message across.

How do we know if the campaign has been successful - or not?
You track Image Ads performance the same as you do your normal text ads. Google Adwords will give you all the information you should ever need. The two most important being how many pageviews your advert received compared to how many people clicked on it.
Would Siteta recommend testing Image Ads?
Here at Siteta we see the benefits on testing on a weekly, if not even daily, basis. Two versions of the same image ad rarely performs the same. You can only know which is the better performing advert by putting them in front of users and testing them.
The testing and creation of Image Ads is, like everything else, linked to money. The more money you spend on your advertising the bigger the benefits you will see by making sure your Image Ads are working as well as they can.
