What does Siteta do to optimise conversion ?
Siteta primarily works with landing pages. We do also work on full websites and the principles around conversion optimisation are mostly the same.
Firstly we’ll get an understanding of what it is you are trying to achieve (e.g. selling iPads, car insurance or newsletter signups). Then we will get a picture of who the visitors to your website are (e.g. ‘professional’ men into tech gadgets, older women into gardening, students wanting car insurance, etc...).
After looking at your business objectives and the needs of your users, we will sit down and design a page that will be best suited to match the two.
Ok, but what do you actually do ?
We either work off an existing page (or site) or start from scratch and we’ll suggest ways of improving your conversion. We will look at your headline, the use of images, the copy text, the amount of text, the design, the font(s), the professionalism, the trustworthiness, the placement of elements and so on.
Alright, do we just take the page and ‘run with it’ ?
Yes you could, but rather not - ideally this is where we step in to move our relationship to ‘the next level’ and start thinking about testing. We will discuss with you what you aim to achieve from your test. Testing is where the fun starts. We do A/B testing and/or Multivariate testing (read our page on website testing).
What we would ideally do for you next, is to design 2-4 Landing Pages and run them in parallell to see which page performs the best. Of the different pages, one page could have a form on the right handside, the second page could have a bigger image and the third could try something completely different.
Next we will take the best performing page and make a few iterations of this page and make it perform even better. Iterations ‘may include, but are not limited to’: adding a testimonial, introducing bullet points, changing your headline, making your action button bigger, changing the text on your action button.
That sounds simple enough. Can’t I do it on my own ?
Yes, of course you can - there is no real magic involved in website optimisation. However what we see over and over again is that, in this case, experience does account for something.
